Where is Houston?
Wow, November has been a crazy-busy month for my family. We have been busy with birthdays, school, Masters' programs, and playing with our little guy. I haven't been doing so well with taking pics of our happenings. This is post is mostly just for me to remind myself of what is happening in our life.
Turning 27 is a turning point in my road of life. I have moved from my mid-twenties to my late-twenties. Soon it is going to be the big 3-0 and that is a tad bit alarming. What have I done with my life? Where is my life going? Only time will tell.
Houston is learning and growing all the time. He is LOVING Mickey Mouse right now. We bought him a little Mickey Mouse stuffed animal and he will carry it with him around the house. He also is a little monkey. He loves bananas, he has even figured out where I keep them in the kitchen and he will point and scream until I give him one, even if he isn't hungry. He is also a monkey because of his climbing abilities. He loves to climb all over our couch and he realized that chairs are a great thing to try and climb, which freaks me out. One of my favorite things is putting Houston to bed. That sounds kinda wrong because you would think I would love it when he is awake, which I do, but putting him to bed is such a special time for me. He takes a bath, I read to him, and then he lets me snuggle him for a bit. Houston NEVER sits still so this time is such a special time when I can hold him and tell him how much I love him. The other night we were snuggling and I had to make room for an outsider, Mickey. I realized that this is only the beginning. It will start with Mickey and soon move to no more snuggling and then even a goodnight kiss will be a stretch. It all happens way too fast. Life is busy and I would love to stop time for a moment and just sit and enjoy.
I can't wait for the upcoming season and for my little guy to meet Santa for the first time, see the lights, and enjoy some holiday treats, but maybe I can wait if it means my little Houston will stop growing for awhile...
