Jackson Hole

OK so do you see the dark spot in the bushes? Not the lower dark spot that is a shadow but the one in between the the bottom bushes and the leaves maybe? Yeah that is the grizzly bear we saw. I am not making this up. If you don't believe me go to Jody's blog and you will see a better pic.
Old Faithful being as faithful as ever, plus or minus 10 min.

These are some hot pots we went and saw.

The beautiful bison.

The Grand Tetons aren't they grand?

Last weekend Blake, Houston, and I all went to Jackson Hole with our good friends the Kings. We left at 5:30 in the morning. Yes I know, Why so early? Well Houston woke up at 4:30 and was having a hard time going back to sleep, so we just thought, "Why not head up to Jackson and he will fall asleep in the car?" We did just that and he did exactly that. On the way up to Jackson we spotted tons of wildlife. We saw: antelope, deer, and a moose! The moose was ginormous. Sadly we had packed our camera in the back and I didn't think to get it out and take pics of these awesome animals.
On Friday we hung out at the cabin and went to Jackson Hole. We went to this awesomely, terrible shoot-out. There were foreigners taking off their shirts and actors with really bad accents and acting skills. It is always fun to walk around Jackson and enjoy the little shops though. That night we went on a safari and saw more wildlife including a huge heard of buffalo. I think buffalo are the weirdest looking animal next to a giraffe. Maybe not I am sure there are other strange looking animals that I am not thinking of, but they are strange.

On Saturday we went to Yellowstone. On our way we saw a GRIZZLY BEAR with her two cubs (well Jody and Tyler say there were two, Blake and I only saw one). She was probably 20 yards away from our truck. Sadly, by the time I got out the camera and started snapping shots she had stepped behind a bush and you couldn't really see her. :( Go to Jod's blog to see some great shots of her. We entered Yellowstone with high hopes of seeing more wonderful wildlife. We were strongly disappointed in our wildlife selection. We saw lots of elk and that is it! The scenery was beautiful and we were brought to awe with the spouting of "Old Faithful" but there was a little bit of sadness in the vehicles as we left the park.

The rest of the trip was fun including playing an awesome game of "Would You Rather..." Now back to life as we know it.
